Five Examples of Online Writing Jobs

Examples of Online Writing Jobs - It's been said that writers don't make a lot of money. Nowadays, that isn't so true at all. With the Internet technology and more people getting into writing, finding a writing job that suits you won't be that difficult. With some ingenuity, patience, and perseverance, you might land a writing gig online and get paid for it at the same time. It's either you devote yourself full-time into it, or keep your day job and have writing as a sideline.
There aren't any limits on how to find a good online writing job. Here are some good suggestions that can help you think about what kind of online writing job will work for you.
  1. Blogger - You can get paid for your blogging through the placed ads or write for another blogger. Most blogs have specific categories ranging from food blogs, fashion blogs, and travel blogs. You just have to find a niche that you're interested to blog about. You can write about all kinds of posts in a blog, ranging from your best essays, list articles, and reviews about products and services.

  2. PR Writer - A press release is something that is written about an important matter that is aimed for the members of the media. In short, it's something about newsworthy that deserves to be broadcast. Press release writers must be able to write in a formal and factual manner that answers the 5 W's and 1 H of a news event: the who, what, when, where, why, and how.

  3. Online Review Writer - Most online reviews come for free, but there are some magazines and newspapers that pay reviewers to post an online article about some products and services. Pay can come in the form of money, or if you're doing more critical reviews, it can be the products you did a review for.Writing online reviews mean that you have to be honest about your take on something, like a service or using a product of a well-known brand.

  4. Academic Writer - Academic writers write scholarly articles for journals related to studies. Not all of them get paid for their write-ups, as the honor itself goes to writing for an academic journal or magazine. Not everyone can be an academic writer, because first, you have to possess an in-depth knowledge about specialized subjects like science and mathematics. Second, you have to write in an academic style, and third, it's not easy writing as an academic writer. Only go for this type of writing job if you know you have the qualifications for it.

  5. Online Translators - Online translation requires knowledge of a foreign language other than English. Not all online translators get paid well, and it requires a good grasp of language so you can write it from the native tongue to English or vice-versa. Most writing that requires translation are documents, subtitles, and literature. It's not that easy to translate, and only go for this type of writing work if you have the guts for it.

  6. These are only examples of the many writing jobs available online. If you want to write online, you can choose from this list or find something else as an online writer.

Why Nokia X+ is better than Nokia X?

Nokia has been going all crazy with its smartphones. The Lumia devices were starting to catch up in the market and then came in the rumour that the Finnish giant is working on an android device. Everyone else was stunned. Why would Nokia make an android device now? What would it be like? How will it do against Samsung or Sony android devices? Should the android device manufacturers be scared? Will it be a high end device? These were some of the questions being asked around as people waited desperately for the new Nokia to come out.
Then came the Mobile World Congress and some of the questions were answered. The much talked about Nokia X turned out to be a pretty normal low end device. When we say pretty normal, we mean in terms of hardware and not in terms of software. While the Nokia X was a star even before it came out, there were two other devices that were showcased with the Nokia X. these devices were the Nokia X+ and the Nokia XL. While the Nokia XL boasted better specifications, the Nokia X+ shared most bits of the spec sheet with the Nokia X. it was not only the spec sheet that was shared but the design and dimensions are same as well. Only the amount of memory is the slight difference that separates these two devices.

Nokia X Hardware:

The Nokia X comes with a decent 4 inch display which has a resolution of 480 x 800. The display on this device is an IPS panel and it is the same on Nokia X+. These devices lie on the low of mobile phone spectrum and for devices in this bracket, this is a pretty good display. Due to the IPS technology, the colour replication of this display is pretty good. The blacks are deep though not as deep as AMOLED panels. The brightness is good and the display is easily readable in sunlight when you increase the brightness. Even the small text is readable on the display though very fine text would show a bit blocky.

Both the Nokia X and X+ run on a Qualcomm MSM8225 Snapdragon S4 Play chipset with the Adreno 203 GPU. The processor is clocked at 1 GHz. You can see that the hardware is a bit old now and would struggle to run resource hungry applications. The GPU struggles when provided with 3D images to render. The amount of RAM is 512 MB on the Nokia X but on the Nokia X+, it is slightly more at 768 MB. This might look like a small difference but at this level, this 256 MB difference plays a huge role.

Both these devices offer you with the usual connectivity options that you would find on any other low end smartphone. Both of them have got HSDPA support with support for download speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. You get Bluetooth 3.0 on both the devices with A2DP support for stereo audio. You get Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. You would have to use the micro SD slot as the internal storage of just 4 GB would not suffice. Both the devices are powered by a 1500 mAh battery which is a bit small considering it is a dual core device with IPS display.

Why Nokia X+?

Smooth interface- Nokia has worked hard on the interface of these devices. They have made a lot of changes to the android, as we know it, to create this custom version of android. They have gone so deep with the changes that they have got rid of all the Google services and apps to make way for their own version of these services and apps. The interface has been made to look very much like windows phone’s tiled interface and they have done a pretty good job here. It is essentially a well-designed app launcher. There are a lot of customisation options like you can add apps or widgets as tile on the start screen. They have also changed the standard notification bar and instead the notifications are available through the fast lane. The android running underneath is android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. While we know that stock Jelly Bean can run on a dual core device with 512 MB of RAM, you know already that this interface is heavily modified. After a while of usage, apps will start to take up memory in background and that is inevitable. After a while the interface will start to lag and stutter on the Nokia X. this isn’t exactly the scene with Nokia X+. Due to the extra RAM, you can enjoy this nice Nokia built android on your device without much lags.

App support- There are multiple apps and games on app stores that require a particular amount of memory on a device to run. There can be a game that would require you to have a specific amount of free RAM to run and with the Nokia X+, you will have more of the MBs to play games and run apps on your device. As there is no Google account associated with the device, there is no play store either. The apps are available through a third party app store made by them only. This store has got most of the popular apps that you would find on a normal android store but there are some less popular apps that are missing. There are alternate ways to install your favourite apps but we aren’t talking about ‘how’ right now.

Similar Pricing- The Nokia X+ has more RAM but the price difference isn’t significant. It won’t hurt to pay a little extra for an overall better user experience. In exchange you will get a smooth, faster device that looks nice as well. The Nokia X+ and X are visually similar and devices are well built and pretty much similar to other low end devices.

Nokia X+ - Why it Could be a Tough Rival to its Competitors

The Finnish smartphone manufacturer Nokia is expected to launch its second Android smartphone, Nokia X+ by the second quarter of ongoing year 2014. This smartphone would be an upgraded variant to Nokia’s first Android smartphone, Nokia X. The Finnish Smartphone brand Nokia, who were once ruling the smartphone market worldwide, is going through a tough situation these days. Last year, the Nokia fans received the shocking news about Nokia selling its hardware manufacturing business to the giant IT player, Microsoft. Many tech experts also claimed it as an end for Nokia smartphones. But the manufacturers keep on launching new Lumia smartphones, running on the Windows Phone OS. The success of the Android operating system made them to work upon and launch their first Android smartphone as Nokia X.
In the launch event of Nokia X, the manufacturers also showcased Nokia X+ and Nokia XL, which are to be launched very soon. The Nokia X+ is a very well finished smartphone which boasts the features of Android as well as of Windows Phone OS. The decent hardware configuration, Dual SIM support, operating system support and the trustable label of Nokia makes the Nokia X+, a great buy. Nokia X and Nokia X+ have many features in common, and many that differentiates them. Here, we bring you a close watch on the technical specifications of the upcoming Nokia X+.
Nokia X

Display

Nokia X+ sports a 4-inch IPS LCD Capacitive Touch Screen display, which produces a resolution of 280 x 800 pixels at 233 pixels per inch. It supports Multi-touch only up to 2 fingers.

Processor & RAM

This smartphone is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Dual Core Processor coupled with 768MB of RAM and Adreno 203 GPU. This hardware configuration is capable enough to drive this smartphone without any issues. You can enjoy addictive HD games with an ease on Nokia X+.

Operating System

Nokia X+ runs on a forked version of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The forked version suggests that it doesn’t support the access to Google Play Store. However, you can run around 75% of Apps & Games available on Google Play Store, on this device. Application & Games installation for 3rd party App store is also allowed. The Nokia Store available on this smartphone boasts many exclusive Nokia Apps like Nokia MixRadio, HERE Drive and HERE Maps, which were earlier available only on Nokia Lumia Smartphones.

Camera & Memory

Nokia X+ houses a 3.15 Megapixels rear camera, featuring Panorama and face detection. However, this smartphone lacks an LED flash on the back and a secondary camera on front for video calls. The rear camera also doesn’t support HD video recording. For Storage, Nokia X+ packs 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB using a MicroSD card. Nokia may give away a 4GB MicroSD card in the box.

Connectivity & Battery

The connectivity features on Nokia X+ includes 3G, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP, HS, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot and MicroUSB 2.0. Nokia X+ is fuelled by a 1500mAH battery which claims 408 hours of stand-by and up to 13 hours 20 minutes of talk time.

Our Word on Nokia X+

Nokia X+ would be a very good buy for those who are looking for their first mid-budget Android smartphone. Post its launch, Nokia X+ will compete with Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 and other Android offerings in the segment. The Nokia X+ features a well finished and attractive body design, which will attract the young buyers. Nokia X+ will be offered in various vibrant colours, which will make you stand different in the crowd.

The hardware configuration on the Nokia X+ is quite good. This smartphone doesn’t compromise in standard workings. However, if you need an Android smartphone for running huge applications and HD games, Nokia X+ could disappoint you a bit. We feel that Nokia X+ would be a value for money package deal because of its application & games support list, in spite that it doesn’t run Google Play Store. The availability of exclusive Nokia Apps and the 75% of Android Apps & Games offer you an experience of owning an Android & Windows Phone together. We hope that it will be your next great buy.

Exercises to Improve Posture

Exercises to improve posture - Is your poor posture causing you to have a back, shoulder or neck pain? In fact, you owe your body at least a few minutes of time!

1. Plank

Core muscles in the first place are responsible for your good or bad posture. If you are bound to sit long hours in an office chair, your core muscles are probably going to give up soon. 2. Training your chest muscles

If spending a lot of time slumped over a table is the major cause for your poor posture, chest stretches are what you should be doing. Chest stretches will retrain your back muscles and will make it ready to bear the weight of your body while sitting, or standing.
You’ll need an exercise ball to start with. Place your buttocks on the ball, and then move your legs forward such that the ball supports the entire weight of your back. Make your neck parallel to the ground and reach your arms over the head. Then bend your elbows such that your palms reach to support your head. Hold this position for 20 seconds and repeat this for 3-4 times.

3. Training your hip muscles

Long time sitting on a chair will cause your hip muscles to get stiff. In such situation, the best way how you can correct your poor posture is by carrying out hip stretch exercises.

Hip Muscle Exercise

Let’s use the same exercising ball even this time. Stand with a correct posture in front of the ball and make sure there is a wall in front of the ball to support your body while stretching. Lay your right flexed knee over the ball and reach the wall while maintaining the position of your hips parallel to the wall. Gradually, push the ball away from the wall by bending your left knee without leaning forward. Hint: try to put the entire weight of your body to the left side. Count from 1 to 30 while you keep the same position, and then swap your position.

These exercises, of done properly, will help you improve your posture to a greater extent.
