Delhi has always been the centre point for all the tourists coming to India. There are so many places to visit in Delhi that you are going to need at least 2-3 days, but if you use your time effectively, you can visit all the major attractions of in Delhi in one day.

Here are places that you can visit in the city by using the Delhi one day tour packages provided by the tours companies.

        Red Fort can be called the main attraction point that everyone must visit during their tour. Red Fort is a great example of how Mughal architecture was like. It was a stronghold of the Mughals in Delhi, main army and the artillery of the Mughals was behind the walls of Red Fort only. The Fort is open for all the tourists, you can either hire a guide or rent electronic voice guide to know the history behind the Red fort.

        Chandini Chowk is the main market of Delhi and is located right in front of Red Fort. You can enjoy the sumptuous cousin of Old Delhi, which is famous all over India.

        Qutub Minar was built by Qutub-ud-din-Aibak in 1206, which was later completed by his successor Iltutmish. Qutub Minar was the first ever monument built by a Muslim ruler in Delhi, which was a sign of Muslim dominance over Delhi. This also gave birth to the whole new Indo-Islamic style of architecture in Delhi.

        Masjid I Jahan Numa commonly known as Jama Masjid is the main mosque in Old Delhi. This mosque was built under the rule of Shah Jahan in 1656, which is one largest and well-known mosque in all India.

        Akshardham Temple is the largest Hindu temple in the world. It was built in 2005 and is equipped with all the latest technology to help the tourists understand the history and culture. It has an IMAX theatre, automated boat ride, high-tech museum, musical fountain, etc.

        Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is one of the largest gurudwaras in Delhi. This place marks the last breath taken by the 8th Sikh guru, Guru Harkrishan who was helping the helpless people suffering from an epidemic of smallpox and cholera. Gurudwara serves free food to all the visitors throughout the day.

        Apart from these, you can go to Lotus Temple, National Museum, Jantar Mantar, Purana Quila or you can also see the famous building, which was built by a British Architect Sir Edward Lutyens. Rashtrapati Bhawan and Sansad Bhawan both were built by the Lutyens only.

The best thing about travelling in Delhi is that you can go a 1 day trip near Delhi, which is quite famous all around the world. Here I m talking about Agra and Jaipur, Agra is famous for its Taj Mahal and Jaipur is famous for its rich history and the monuments, which show the excellence of Rajasthan Archite
